You have the opportunity to make the most of your CCASA membership by participating in groups and on committees. The specific expertise of our members help CCASA act according to our values of anti-oppression, social change, survivor-centeredness, accountability, collaboration, and respect.
This Learning Community is designed for victim service professionals, victim representatives, therapists, attorneys, treatment providers, supervising officers, and others who support survivors in the post-conviction phase of the criminal legal system. Participants will be provided access to training to assist in exploring emerging issues, share resources and strategies, discuss challenges, and build skills related to victim rights, offender accountability, treatment and supervision systems, restorative opportunities, and survivor-centered advocacy. Restorative & Transformative Justice Learning Community
This Learning Community is for those who work in harm response, harm reduction, advocacy, justice, law, education, and more. Especially those who work directly in gender-based and sexual violence. The purpose of the group is to further individual and collective knowledge of restorative justice and transformative justice practices and their applicability to our field, by sharing resources, ideas, and challenges while building new skills and exploring avenues for applying RJ and TJ in support of survivors. The SART Group and listserv is for people who are engaging in a coordinated, collaborative effort to address sexual violence within their community. These efforts are often called Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART) or Coordinated Community Responses (CCR) and can exist within a county, judicial district, city, campus, Tribal community, or other jurisdictions and communities.
