This training will provide a foundational overview of the treatment process, including common goals of therapy, accountability-focused interventions, and how treatment providers work within the criminal legal and community supervision systems. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the role treatment can play in promoting accountability and community safety.
Presenter:
Tanya Ahamed, LCSW, Clinical Director of RSA, Inc., is a Full Operating Adult and Juvenile SOMB Approved Provider, as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Tanya has been working in the field of Offense Specific Treatment since 2005 and has been with RSA since August of 2006. She provides group and individual treatment, as well as supervision for all staff. Tanya is also the Board Chair for a Non-Profit Organization called Breaking Silence, which works with communities to take action against interpersonal violence.
