HB 25 -1188 Mandatory Reporting for Confidential Community-Based Advocates: Advocacy Skills and Safety Planning
Description:
Changes are coming for confidential, community-based advocates in Colorado — and this webinar will break down what you need to know. HB25-1188 stems from the work of the Mandatory Reporting Taskforce, which examined the effectiveness of mandatory reporting laws, their disproportionate impact on marginalized communities, and how they intersect with domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. One of the most significant outcomes was a recommendation to remove confidential victim advocates from the list of mandated reporters. Join us as we unpack these recommendations, what they mean for your work, and how to move forward while staying survivor-centered and community-rooted.
