Supporting Male Survivors of Sexual Violence

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM MST
Location: Online via Zoom
The Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) invites advocates, service providers, and community members to join us for an important upcoming webinar focused on supporting male survivors of sexual violence.
This training will provide an overview of the unique challenges male survivors face when seeking support and services. Participants will explore and dispel harmful myths that often discourage boys and men from coming forward, and learn best practices for improving the likelihood of supportive, successful interactions with male victims. This webinar is designed to strengthen the capacity of professionals and communities to respond with greater understanding, compassion, and effectiveness.
Presenter:
Emiliano Diaz de Leon, Men’s Engagement Specialist with the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA), brings more than a decade of experience working with domestic and sexual violence centers across Texas. Since joining the coalition in 2008, Emiliano has provided training and technical assistance on the prevention of domestic and sexual violence to organizations and institutions across the state and throughout the country.
