Key topics include expanded privacy protections for survivors of sexual assault, new safety policies for dating apps, survivor-centered definitions and standards for protection orders, and important updates to the Crime Victim Compensation Act, among other significant issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenters:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth Newman, Public Policy Director, Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Elizabeth joined CCASA in August 2021 with nearly 15 years of experience working on politics, policy, and advocacy. Prior to joining CCASA, she served as the Policy and Projects Director at the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women. There she developed policy, advocated for state and local legislation, directed research, and provided technical assistance to further women\u2019s economic opportunities, address gender-based violence, and foster the equitable treatment and advancement of women and girls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onnastasia Cole Outreach &amp; Policy Associate<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Onnastasia joined CCASA in August 2023 with over five years of professional writing experience.
