During this presentation, participants will be able to learn general cultural norms and values of Latin@s, their families and communities. Presenter will share lessons learned when working effectively with the Latin@ communities and will speak about their great diversity, resiliency and strength. There will be discussions and scenarios to further increase participants\u2019 knowledge and skills when working with Latin@ survivors of gender-based violence and their families. Opportunities to examine the barriers experienced by Latin@ survivors when accessing mainstream victims\u2019 services and come into contact with law enforcement and other systems will be provided.
